Challenge #1: Find Your Current Life Role

I would just like to start out by saying that every single person in this world needs to have confidence . Wet her you are a big time CEO, or an employee at Hot Topic, you need confidence to succeed. I can only hope that my blog can help others feel confident about themselves and look to confidence to solve their problems. While writing this blog I will also be reading the book 21 IRREFUTABLE RULES OF LEADERSHIP by John C. Maxwell. My sole purpose for reading this book is to have a strong sense of knowledge about leadership. A lot of you are probably saying: What? How does leadership have anything to do with confidence? Well, I believe that leadership skills are the fundamentals of confidence. With leadership you will have an easier time feeling good about yourself and your abilities.
The first rule is The Law Of The Lid. The Law of Lid is that Leadership Ability Determines a Person's level of Effectiveness. Leadership ability is the lid that determines a person's level of Effectiveness. In this situation confidence can be substituted for effectiveness. So the new equation would be: Greater leadership ability equals a higher rate of confidence. The law goes on to explain that personal and organizational effectiveness (confidence) is proportionate to the strength of leadership. This concept can be flipped to explain my belief in confidence and its partnership with leadership. Personal and organizational leadership (i.e, relationships, jobs, decisions) is equal to the strength of confidence. If you have enough leadership ability to choose your role in a relationship of your role in a job your confidence will sky rocket. Not only will you feel happy because you had the personal leadership to make your own choices, you will also feel more confident in your roles in a relationship or at a job.
This week I challenge you to figure out your roles in life. Whether the role may be a CEO in a business, or a waitress at Hooters accept your role and ask yourself if your role is making you happy and confident. If the answer is yes, than why are you reading this blog? If the answer is no, than I want you to ask yourself are you willing to change that role? Ask yourself if you are ready to learn how to change that role by sharpening your leadership skills. If the answer is yes to any of these questions, read my blog every week and accept my challenges.
Have a good week! And always remember I'm here to keep you confident!!
Andrea :)
